  • Individual consultation – initial appointment (45 minutes) – $120

Medicare

Bulk Billed Dietitian Consultations – No Out-of-Pocket Cost!

 

If your doctor has referred you to a dietitian under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan (formerly Enhanced Primary Care Plan), your consultation is fully covered by Medicare—meaning you pay nothing out of pocket.

 

To access bulk billing, your CDM Plan must be completed by your doctor before your appointment. Please bring a copy of your plan with you to ensure a smooth process.

 

 

Private Health Rebates

Most private health funds provide rebates for visits to Dietitians. The rebate depends on your level of cover; contact your health care provider to check your entitlements.

Department of Veteran Affairs Provider (DVA)

Better You Nutrition is a provider for the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA). Gold Cardholders will not require payment for consults. Home visits are available if required. If you are eligible, please see your doctor for a referral before seeing the Dietitian. 

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

 

To ensure availability for all clients, at least 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments.

 

❌ Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a 100% cancellation fee, as they take up valuable time that could have been offered to another client in need.

 

🩺 For Bulk-Billed Appointments: If you miss a bulk-billed consultation or cancel/reschedule with less than 24 hours' notice, a Medicare payment will be processed for the missed appointment.

 

💳 Medicare Payment Limits: If you have already used your Medicare-subsidised allied health sessions for the year on other healthcare providers, you will need to pay for your appointment at the Medicare rebate rate. Please check with your GP or Medicare to confirm your remaining sessions before booking.

 

This policy ensures fair access to appointments and helps us continue providing quality care to all clients. If you need to reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible to avoid any charges.
